Privacy Policy

What we collect

To calculate your results, the calculators ask for:

• Your birth date, used by every numerology calculator, the personal angel number and your Sun sign.
• Your birth time and birth city, used only by Astrology for your Moon and Rising signs. These are more sensitive than a birth date alone, so we ask for them only where the calculation needs them.
• A name, for the calculators that use one: Expression, Soul Urge, Personality and the Master Number Checker.

How your details are handled

Your details are carried in the address of your result page, which is what lets you bookmark or share a result. Opening that page sends the address to our hosting provider's servers so the page can be built. Sundial House has no accounts and no database, and keeps no record of what you enter. Like most web hosts, our hosting provider may keep standard request logs for a limited time for security and operations.

We remove your details from the page addresses our analytics and error-monitoring services receive.

Legal basis for processing

If you're in the EEA or UK, the legal basis for this processing is your consent — given each time you enter your details and request a result — and our legitimate interest in providing the calculation you've asked for. You can withdraw consent simply by not submitting a calculation; because nothing is stored, there's nothing further to withdraw afterward.

Services we use

• Lovable hosts the site and serves every page. It also keeps basic visitor counts of its own and sets two cookies, described below.
• Umami Cloud provides privacy-focused analytics. It counts page views, country or region and device type, uses no cookies, and is set to ignore the part of a page address that holds your details.
• Sentry monitors errors. If a page fails, Sentry receives a technical report with the page, browser type and error. Your details are removed from page addresses first, and IP addresses aren't stored.
• Google Fonts and Fontshare provide the site's typefaces. Your browser downloads the font files from them, which shares your IP address with those providers, as any font download does.
• Formspree handles the support form and receives only what you choose to send.

City and timezone data comes from GeoNames (CC BY 4.0), but that data is built into the site. Searching for your birth city doesn't contact GeoNames or anyone else.

International data transfers

The services above may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States.

Support form (optional)

If you submit the support form, we collect what you write and, if you choose to include it, your email — only to follow up on what you sent. This goes to Formspree, our form-handling provider, and then to us; we don't use it for anything else.

Cookies and browser storage

Sundial House sets no cookies of its own and uses no advertising cookies. Our hosting provider, Lovable, sets two cookies when you visit, named session-id and __dpl. If you return on consecutive days, your browser keeps a small streak counter (your last visit date and a count) in its own storage. It never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Your rights under GDPR

If you're in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold; restrict or object to processing; request data portability; and lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. Because we don't retain your birth information after a calculation completes, there is generally nothing on our end to act on — but these rights remain fully available, and we'll respond to any request at hello@sundialhouse.co.

Your rights under CCPA/CPRA

If you're a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, delete it, correct it, opt out of its sale or sharing, limit use of sensitive personal information, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we don't use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Submit a verifiable request anytime at hello@sundialhouse.co.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way — for example, if we introduce accounts or persistent storage of your information in the future — we'll update this page and note the change clearly, not bury it.
